Yet another prisoner, this one not facing the death penalty, was released today due to DNA evidence. Timothy Masters was merely fifteen when the murder of Peggy Hettrick, 37, occurred. Twelve years passed before he was charged and convicted. The "evidence" against him was circumstantial plus it appears certain Colorado prosecutors and police didn't play fair at his trial. Timothy spent nine years behind bars.
CNN's reporting is as good as I've found on this event. They have a video that shocked me of Timothy being questioned when he was a kid. However, the Denver Post has a video summary of the case that was so very impressive.
Congrats Timothy. Sue the bastards! P/W
