Is "Iran is an existential threat ..." a Bushism?

AP/MSNBC reports Bush says the world needs to take Iran seriously: President tries to reassure Israelis worried about Iran's nuclear ambitions" with the following quote that struck me as odd:
"Iran is an existential threat to peace."
Huh? Wikipedia suggests an "existential crisis" is some sort of "mid-life crisis" where one has "a sense of being alone and isolated" yet there's also "an existential crisis is the sudden awareness of not knowing what one's life is all about and/or the sudden awareness of one's inevitable impending personal doom". How appropriate!

I also noted assertions that the President is "enormously popular" in Israel. He's certainly not here. That "Israel's beleaguered prime minister Ehud Olmert" needed to come across the pond for some support says much about his standing as well.

Here's some more irony. Dubyah just got through railing about appeasement and the perils of talking to folks we might not like yet Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki is making yet another trip to Iran this week to meet with Iran's Ayatollah Khamenei and President Ahmadinejad.

Does Dubyah have an idea what the hell he's talking about? He wouldn't be able to explain existentialism to save his tortured soul! He's proof that you can get an Ivy League education and still turn out to be as dumb as a bucket of spit! Bushisms will soon fade away as we've only just a few more months of this lightweight to endure. Our nation has survived much and perhaps we'll get past this disaster. I am on record from way back when that he would prove to be a dreadful leader. I told you so! John Gunn
