The Gray Lady's David M. Herszenhorn reports A Curious Coalition Opposed Bailout Bill. Russ Feingold and Bernie Sanders certainly are my favorite Senators and Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III likely among my least so to see them on the same page on much of anything is remarkable. And when the Mobile Press-Register gets anything right I'm shocked. They didn't mention Russ or Bernie or ... any Lefties deserving of "great credit" yet their Senate succumbed to panic over crisis makes some sense. As for their close, I for one would like to see the taxpayers protected at least somewhat from "the principles of a free market economy". John Gunn
