I think the toon from David Horsey is the answer to the question. He'll do what it takes to win. (For those that need to brush up on Mitt Romney I'd start with The Boston Globe's effort.) As to Romney's recent speech where he essentially said only the religious need to apply for political office, Steve Chapman of the Chicago Tribune believes Romney flunks a religious test and Bonnie Erbe of U.S. News and World Report opines Romney: No Jack Kennedy. The Gray Lady's reliably conservative David Brooks seemed to sorta, kinda liked Mitt's moment if I've read his Faith vs. the Faithless correctly and surely some on the right aren't ready to give up on this smooth operator just yet. This secular humanist is for one simply horrified, yet not surprised, that the reaction to Romney's remarks haven't been more harsh. It's First Amendment 101 to this lefty yet Romney finds it all too easy to just leave non-believers out of the equation. Peace ... or War!Nearly 50 years in east Alabama, a surname going back to Vikings invading Scotland, and finally too much religious fundamentalism coupled to reactionary radicalism motivates me. I'll share (rarely as of late) my ideas on politics, learning, ... My clan supposedly uses "Peace ... or War!" Maybe those genes compel me to join issue? (Propservralism = PRogressivism + pOPulism + conSERVatism + libeRAL + pragmatISM) Respectfully, John Gunn

Pandering and/or Preaching from Mitt Romney?
