Nosy Neighbor - Uncle Sam Funds Farming

Recognizing that Big Mule agriculture can at times be a mixed bag, this Scot supports the average family farmer trying to make a living on the land. I generally support the idea of our all helping the little man/woman contribute how they can to place quality foods and other agricultural products in local and even international markets. Yet, I also find it ironic to hear rough rural stock screaming about welfare when they are also being given a hand. Seeing how subsidies work is helpful in understanding the policies that might in fact work against the branchheads.
