Nearly 50 years in east Alabama, a surname going back to Vikings invading Scotland, and finally too much religious fundamentalism coupled to reactionary radicalism motivates me. I'll share (rarely as of late) my ideas on politics, learning, ... My clan supposedly uses "Peace ... or War!" Maybe those genes compel me to join issue? (Propservralism = PRogressivism + pOPulism + conSERVatism + libeRAL + pragmatISM) Respectfully, John Gunn

Pastor John Hagee & other conservative crazies
Sarah Posner of The American Prospect delivers "Holy War: As the Middle East burns, GOP pols, neocon pundits, and a powerful Christian right leader all sing the same (crazy) tune." These wing nuts get plenty of tolerance as few people will simply call them "crazy" yet Ms. Posner rightfully labels. Her only source is Knesset member Benny Elon, and perhaps he stretched, yet Newt Gingrich and John McCain are at least using the language. Short post on some solid work. Follow her link to the prior post on Pastor Hagee as he is an especially scary televangelist. When his books top Wal-Mart lists then you know he's in the Heartland but to have his radical ideas pressed up in DC, via CUFI, terrifies me. Peace ... or War!
